I have to agree speedball will take your money, you can't just sit there and wait for someone to walk in the open, you have to shoot paint( lots of it) if you don't well you will hardly ever get anyone out, it took me awhile to figure that out, but now I keep a steady line of paint down the field, and also I agree bring a couple of friends, whenever my local field shut down I got out the sport, then I missed it alittle bit sO I got back into it and drove 2 hours to go to another field, I didn't know anyone so I was picked last for teams and it sucks not knowing anyone on my team

There's nothing serious or epic about doing it, really.
Yeah, most tournaments are in a speedball style (for obvious reasons) and it is a bit more of a workout, but there's nothing lost from any other form of play that can't be regained in speedball.

I don't know where all you guys play, but I love going to play by myself at my field. You force yourself to talk to other players make friends. It's fun to go with friends to but you get kinda closed off from all the other players there. As for speedball, I love it. I came from being a major woodsball player never wanting to play speedball. I had the whole setup with tm-15 flurry vest and camo. Played one or two speedball games and was hooked. I went out and got a cheap azodin blitz to play speedball since my tm-15 was huge. Now I'm straight speedball. Got my whole setup for speed. Sold all my woodsball stuff . The point is go slow and see if you like it. I still play big scenario games and have fun, but for me nothing beats the rush and fast pace of speedball.

Marker choice
Most people will tell you which gun to choose based on guns they have had in the past or currently have. After that disclaimer I can tell you the Fusion FX is a great priced marker with a lot of aftermarket upgrades out there. The gun itself is pretty solid stock but with the upgrades out there for a bit more really sings.

It's nice to play by yourself sometimes. Change of pace. You don't feel the need to stay with a certain few people.
