Well, remember how up until a few years ago if pump players weren't willing to shell out big bucks for the one-off jobs that CCM and I think Palmers were doing then they had to buy old technology or a Brass Eagle from Walmart. The price gap was enormous so converting made a lot of sense then. Now the industry is more supportive of the pump market but I think that it's safe to say that WGP isn't about to spring out of its grave and release a bunch of new cockers. The Empire Sniper is really the closest thing, and conversion is more of a hobby now anyway.
Put in short, the recent industry has not provided feasible options for pump players so they had to make their own. It sucks because some beautiful mechs and electros get cannibalized for this reason but it's unfair to tell people that they aren't allowed to dismantle any markers and that if they want to play pump then it's SL-68 time.
