I'm a bit pissed. I've owned 4 pairs of grillz since they have been released and this is my first of the "newer" pairs that have been sold.
This has the newer mask bag with them. I've had them since May and used them twice (been primarily wearing my Eflexes)
Anyways they have sat in my house in a cool and dry area in their storage bag. I took them out so I could loan them to a friend and low and behold they are now turning bluish black.
I take some water and a bit of dish soap and try to clean a small section and they are stained. The color from the bag has literally bled through into the mask and is all the way through the mask giving it a bluish hue. I have never gotten the bag dirty or washed it or had it wet. The mask was left out to dry every time after use.
I'm pissed and curious if anyone else has had the same experience?
hopefully Vforce won't leave me high and dry and will hook it up with a replacement pair.
truth man, i have newer black grillz but i use the mask bag for some of my other goggles and it stained my red boat bottom flexes... nothing took it out, not alcohol, not soap, not paint. sorry to say you might be outta luck on this one.
simple solution, remove lens. buy oxy clean(1/2 teaspon per bottle) and peroxide(3% stabilized) . submerge mask, place in sunlight. wait 8 hours. new mask. or option b, buy some rit dye remover and cook yourself a mask. dont boil though, will distort mask shape. or you could try using crest vivid white and a soft toothbrush on them. youd be amazed at what toothpaste can do.
If you have a more velvety feeling bag definitely stay away from them. The ones that feel more like the type of cloth you would use to clean sun glasses or other eye wear lenses will probably be alright.
