That was disheartening.....I really wanted the Nats in the NLCS, but the Cards are without a doubt the most clutch team in sports. This is just getting absurd...I mean...how can you have a gun to their head with a full clip and miss? Unreal. I hope the Cards go back to back.

Can't believe Pujols went to the Angels. He could have won another World Series with the Cards. that town loved him. Idiot
Cards always seem to play good ball at the right time

There is plenty to say about a bit of loyalty.
Yea LAA offered more money, but it's not like STL offered chump change.

and yes loyalty, it's called being part of a team. STL gave him a chance to play ball and he played with them for a decade with some very good years. We aren't talking a long tenured player on a **** team leaving for greener pastures, or a guy being lowballed with ****. When a guy leaves a situation like that simply because absurd amounts of money isn't good enough and he'd rather have stupidly absurd amounts of money fans have every right to be pissed.

I dont give **** about loyalty in baseball. Yeah he got a fatty contract to come play in LA. Most, if not all other players would have taken that deal as well. My point is that he's an idiot for leaving a caliber world series team and going to the Angels, who didnt even make the playoffs. The Angels pitching staff and their roster should have been able to make it to October baseball. I mean good god, the A's won the division with a payroll of $49million

Pujols turned down a bigger offer from Miami. Wasn't totally about money.

It would've been cool to see Pujols play out his career in St. Louis. He decided that LA was a better fit for him, people make career choices like that every day and his just happened to be public.

Yeah, considering he started his career here and everything, he had a pretty big chance of being a all time cardinal great, in the books for as long as baseball lasts i assume, but hey he wanted other things. To be honest I don't like baseball a whole lot because of situations like this, we definitely didn't offer him a **** deal...i prefer hockey. BUT that win last night was insane...
