Fixing Pants

How do you fix or repair your paintball pants? my dye c3's knees are ripped like crazy (damn turf field). What is the best way to repair/fix the knee area?

Patched my old C5's with an iron on patch. Used the heavy denim - looked funky, worked well. An "alteration shop" can sew them back, maybe better than new...
