Just wondering how durable the NT solenoid is, im planning on keeping my NT longterm, and i always see people selling or trading NT's say " it has a new solenoid".

just curious about how durable solenoid is, amount of usage etc,

as long as you dont adjust the pressures, without using a pressure tester or go over like 125, then it will be fine, people always need new noids because they crank the pressure up, but thats not how the nt's run, it's all done by spacers/bolt tips.

nt's are great guns you just have to know what your doing to make them last

I seriously think the boards are to blame for bad noids.

Ive blown out a few nt10 noids and it stopped once I got virtue boards in all my NT's. I just sold a white/gold nt11 and it shot fine (with stock board)....2 days later I go to shoot it before boxing it up and the noid is dead. I didnt touch a thing and the pressure was still ~115psi.

Meanwhile Im still on the same noid on my nt11 that I bought 2 years ago.

Same here, i went threw 3 noids on a stock board. Since switching to a virtue board i havent had a issue

doesnt make much sense when the operating pressure from factory is 130. i've had a few nt's and turn mine to 140-145 with no issues. and it gets me up to 290fps

its a mix really a lot of user error... and i heard they had a batch of finicky nods.... had my nt for 3 years... was still going strong when i sold it... i miss that gun

Honest opinion, they are pretty bad. You have no LPR to control pressure to the solenoid and the burst pressure is way too close to the normal operating pressure of the marker. One quick crank on the Hyper 3 to get your velocity up and there goes $80.

If you have a pressure tester and a solid understanding of how the marker works, it can be very reliable. If you are an average paintball player, you may have issues with the NT.

Can someone explain why you need to set the pressure when all you need to do is chrono it at 290? If the velocity is set wont the gun be at a normal operating pressure? Don't get it. When a spacer is used you would crank down the velocity which balances the pressure out anyway. So can anyone explain please. It's not like a dm with a lpr to set.

130psi is not always going to give 290 fps. And the pressure range where the NT operates reliably is pretty slim, go too low and it won't cycle properly, go too high and it will blow paint apart and start leaking.
