As opposed to Subarus being easy to fix???
Saw today where you guys had an STi customer with a 2.5 and a Blouch 20G that was making 350 to the wheels.
Do you guys think a 205 built block with a 20G could put down high 300s to the wheels? That's where I was aiming for but wasn't 100% sure.

you should be able to get mid 350s on the 20g on that motor.
and yes subies are pretty easy to work on.

Well we also plan to polish the heads, UL headers, uncatted UP/DP/catback.
Plus all turbo prep bull****.
Already have turbo inlet and CAI on.
Won't the headers and heads make up that extra 20/30 and put me in this high 300s? I've tried to monitor the build threads/proven power threads to understand some of these power gains a bit better.
And I do somewhat agree. We seem to have the design mostly down. Still a bit tough for people doing it on our own. Out of my league as I'm fairly new to engines but my dad has done rebuilds before. He has no issues with it.
Like I said about Hondas, I wanna get me one and learn how to work on cars very well fooling around with one.

So... I totally misread the estimate on the engine.
7165 dollars out the door. Includes labor. Fffffffuuuuuuu that's a little outrageous
I mean, IIR has a short block with forged goodies for 2600

Wtf? That's a rip off dude. A Subaru dealership quoted me $4500 to fix the problem you are having (I almost bought a red 08 with the same problem).
Buy the block from Josh and install that. Damn

You could pretty much replace the whole engine and drivetrain for that much...Could go version 7 ej207 with forged pistons for 3500 and sell what you don't need off of it.

lol. I didn't. You will need most of the stuff that was on the quote, there are some things you can do without though.

Yeah the price is going to go down since I don't need the TGV deletes done cause I already have them. Idk what else tho.
But they are also installing all my performance products free while they're in there. I'm lost I really don't know the best course.of action. Insurance said no.dice on covering repairs

Buy built block from josh.
Sell your current block. Yes, it will sell even as a ringland failure.
Get some chumps to help you install it....Coughmattscottnmecough.

TGV deletes.
Speaking of those, ours went wonderfully. DIY for $10 or so and took about 30 minutes while they were out.
I wouldn't pay 7k for that though. Honestly. I know AWDTuning, here in Texas, has a damn well built block with almost everything in it for 7k installed that's a hoss.

I'd stick to IIR for parts and drop shipping, not a block.

sick wiring skills by previous owner. Getting rid of useless external temp gauge. Only need a boost gauge but I have no clue what to cut and some are running to my boost controller. I've tried to trace some down but still. ****
I wondered why my gauge cluster lights were flickering and all my gauges stopped working. Need a new gauge cluster anyways meh

Knocked almost all the way to lunch, then popped a p302 code on the way home.
I ordered a compression kit today, so hopefully I can rule out low compression tomorrow and maybe it will just be an injector or coil pack.

Edit:
YES!
My 0302 was from a fault connection leading to the coil pack. Got it patched up and it's running good now. You might check that, because you can diagnose that without pulling the bay apart. There's a connection leading to them about an inch away. Fiddle with it and see what happens.
