Geo 2.1 Air Leaks

So I got my Geo 2.1 off a member here. Great gun, but it's got some air leaks. I cleaned most of them up with a really good cleaning and O-ring replacement. What I have left is a gurgling sound coming from the solenoid. Also, and this is the fun one, when I charge the gun, air leaks between the frame and reg. I replaced the outside O-ring on the reg thinking that it was just leaking there, but that didn't fix it. I cleaned and dicked around with the thing for about an hour at the field and was about to give up when.... I cracked the reg open and it stopped. WTF?! I degassed and aired it back up and it was leaking again. So I cracked the regulator again and it stopped again. WTF#2?! Now every time I air up I have to crack the reg open and then close it. I suppose it works, but it shouldn't be this way. Anybody have an idea what could be happening?

Have you tried replacing the reg piston oring? I've herd (can't remember from who but their info was from planet eclipse) a 14x2 on there could fix it. If not I'm not sure what it could be.

Try replacing the reg top o ring with a bigger one. I'd leave the reg piston an 016

Bigger, as in thicker, or larger diameter?

Holy wow I was having the same problem with the reg! I would unscrew it a tad and it would stop leaking. Weirdest thing ever until I realized that moving it causes something somewhere to seal. The only oring that this causes friction on is the top 017-70 on the reg mount, so I changed and lubed that one and it's leak free. If you can fit a thicker one on there then go for it, but try changing it and lightly lubing it first! Could just have a small nick in it.

Also, I changed my piston from the 016 to a 14x2 per Gerry Bates' suggestion. Works the same, maybe better, maybe worse. Who knows! I don't.
