penalties at epl cup
Though I think overall the refs did a good job. Does anyone think the obvious tag on a flag hanger should be more than a 1for1. This happened twice, and the hits were obvious marks on the back left high on the shoulder. Cost us two matches, due to the player making the last two Gs on our players.
Just thinking out loud, again overall great calls by the refs.

The turf field refs were on point, I didn't ever see a highly questionable call all day.
The grass field refs on the other hand... I know it's paintball and these aren't professional refs but a select few were horrid. The head ref on the grass field did his best to keep them organized and in position but at least two of the refs either simply didn't care or had favorites. One example, a ref watching the snake had to run across and pull a D player. There was a ref literally 5 feet from said D player "watching" him, the entire sidelines is yelling at him to pull the player, he does nothing.
That basically sums up the calls on the grass field I'm sorry to any teams that had to play on it all day.

Ha! 3 is bad but try 5 dirty hangs back to back on the turft field. Which the reffing was horrible on that field because they didnt want to go paint check players.

I agree reffing was far from good. But we played on the turf half the day and they were strict on calls. People catching calls for playing on all over the place and I specifically remember most of them in people's bunker with them pulling them out. The dirty hangs is something I have no input on I didn't see problems with that. Lots of playing on though which would result in dirty hangs...

Yeah I played the D4 3 man, I had to yell at the refs couple of times to go paint check, which they still didnt go check.

i had a very good experience with the refs. a couple times i snapped and saw one ball head right for the guy, my coach said he was still in, then a few seconds later the ref would be pulling him. we did have one dirty hang where a player had a hit on his hopper, and i didn't see him get hit, and i coached him the whole game. and i was the one screaming for him to hang it because there was 7 seconds on the clock. i guess **** happens.

I'd say the reffing was above average.
My major complaint was with the ultra evil paint. I played one game where I emptied an entire pod shooting at a guy who must have thought he was in dead space. I had the entire view of this guy and unloaded on him. I was thinking he must of had a force field around him because I shot everying around this guy but him. Same game, I unloaded another hopper at a guy who wrapped the dorito. He never saw me and I guess it didn't matter because my paint shot a circle around him but never once hit him.
Times like those you wish you could byop, at least then you have nothing to complain about except your own failures. Hopefully Chad will consider this next season.
No complaints with the refs, I thought they did very well this event. There is room for improvement, but not much.

Your just butt hurt cuz you lost. When your buddies on the turf field were reffing you, you got good calls and wiped clean throughout the day. Im sorry, but if you have to cheat to win a D4 tournament, take a step back and re-evaluate yourself. I was standing right next to the one Revo reff that came over to one of your "Saints" players and wiped him clean of 3 obvious hits after hanging the flag. It really made me giggle.
