seriously though around here in the greater Boston area if you live in a decent area the subways have stops nearby, with the exception of the south side of the orange line, and the Ashmont branch of the red line. that goes to Mattapan aka Murdapan, a city with a 75% negro population.

anyways, if you live in any of the ****ty crime infested black neighborhoods that aren't on the above mentioned lines, you take the bus. most of these places the bus runs every half hour at best, and the buses that go nto the hood are all filthy and have no a/c in the summer and no heat in the winter.

as a matter of fact, the red line splits into 2 branches, the braintree line which I take to get home, and the ashmont line. if you walk onto the ashmont train not only will you be surrounded by darkness, you will notice that every surface is coated with a film of filth. I touched the hand rail once on that train and the next day I had pink eye. the smell is downright atrocious.

now I'm not saying outright that black people are filthy and leave a trail of grime anywhere they accumulate (I'll leave that to you to decide), but the conditions of these trains speak for themselves. Boston is a notoriously racist city, and I wouldn't be surprised if the city refused to clean the Ashmont trains as often as they clean the Braintree ones, but still, the smell alone speaks for itself. and just because I know what you're thinking, I'll clarify that I've been on that train when it was almost empty and it still smelled.

any ideas on the cause of this phenomenon?

and if you think it's because the MBTA has no money, think again. look at the wages of their workers.

on the topic of Mitt Vs. Obama, I think that this would be an awesome alternative to debates (where all they do is argue over what the other ones policies are, and provide as vague an outline of their plans as possible). not neccesarily to determine the winner, but just to liven things up and get people interested in politics. there was a time when men settled disputes like men, these days politicians argue in the same way 13 year old's do in the comment section of Justin Bieber videos on youtube. I personally think Obama could take Mitt.
