West Coast Field Owners Series!
West Coast Field Owners Series!
Yes you read this right. Several field owners are getting together to organize a regional series for the Oregon, Washington and Idaho players.
Starting in November the owners of Red Dot Paintball, Royal Ridges Paintball and Diamond Hill Paintball are going to meet and put together a paintball series for the beginner, the Rookie and Open players. We are talking about adding a young guns as well. Pumpers don’t think for a second we have forgotten you!
I mention those three fields because they are committed to brining you a quality series. I have to tell you that there are other owners considering joining the group. I invite you to talk to your favorite speedball field owner in Oregon, Washington and even Idaho. The more fields we have participating the better the series can be!
When will you know what the series will look like? We will be working through November and December to finalize details. The dates and format will be released in the first few weeks of January.
As the negotiations progress we will put updates on this thread.
Your input is welcome!

Addition
Just talked to Jason from Impact action. He is going to be included in the meetings! He will know in about 2 weeks if the county will give him the needed permits.
So everyone cross your fingers!

Would be nice, we need a new field though. I'll see what Paul thinks.
I'll call you this week Audrey. I have a couple questions.

I think this is a really cool idea.
I am wondering why the field owners did not just move to take ownership of the WCPS series. It seems like helping to continue an established series in the NW would be more beneficial than letting it die an starting a new one in its place.
But at the end of the day if there is a permanent and strong series in the NW I will be happy.

When you assume ownership of another business/operation you assume all liabilities as well, good and bad.
Dont worry - the Field Owners format will follow closely in the footsteps of the WCPS so those teams wont have to adjust what they are used to in order to play.
The main advantage to a field owners series is that the fields are joined together financially to achieve the same goal. provide a quality series that allows for bigger and better prizes. Not to mention that when fields are the main promoter, venders and suppliers are more likely to kick in support, since its the fields and stores that sell the products.

Dale from Nitehawk Paintball is also interested in participating in the purchase of the WCPS and running a Woodsball and Speedball tourney. You should give him a call @ Dale (509) 276 - 1415 He just setup a Speedball field and his woodsball field is amazing. At least we would have a Field over the East side and would promote paintball throughout Washington.
Give him a Call please

I see some NW competition in the future if there are in fact 2 different leagues.
