What is your opition of this pump?
Hey Guys,
I am getting into pump to try out a different style of paintball. I was wondering if an autocoker prostock 05 is a good pump and why?
Thanks

any autococker that you convert to pump is a solid choice. they are very reliable and have tons of upgrades that you can get for them to make you gun shoot its best

^ exactly what trigger said, pick a cocker you like and throw a kit on it. Then I would suggest getting out to play then you can decide what kind of upgrades you want from there. The superstock/prostock cockers tend to be cheaper to get so you can spend more on upgrades (trust me once your hooked your gonna want upgrades)

Thanks guys for the info. Oh and if you don't mind answer a newbie pump question. Does it matter to have a force feed on a pump? Or should I use a small grav feed?

a small gravity feed will work fine. just dont buy the 50rd gxg hopper. it doesnt hold a lot of balls and jams a lot. i have an app 50 rd loader. it seems to its job very well. the only reason you would want an agitated hopper is if you had an auto trigger on your pump.

Thanks for putting up with my questions. I feel like my first time doing paintball again with pumps. I was looking at getting a freak barrel kit cause I hear from everyone that its the best thing for a pump. Is this true or just a choice?

its preference. i rock a macdev shift kit on my pump...... you can even use the stock barrel and grab an ifit kit. its all up to you on how much you want to spend and what you want to get. i personally like my shift kit over the freak.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I had some similar questions so I thought I would ask them here.
I recently obtained a prostock pump and I noticed the feedneck does not seem to be replaceable, am I mistaken?

If you can a revvy or older soft shell grav feed, the feedneck should be fine, otherwise trinity used to make an adaptor you could put on by chopping off the top part of the fixed feedneck. I just dusted off my old cocker turned sniper, and did a complete internal mirror shineup using 320-400-600 grade(s) wetdry sandpaper and a drill gun cuz I'm lazzzy. It has definitely made the pump action very smooth. I'll try it out tomorrow to see if it's as smooth and accurate as my friend's CCm6.5...

With a bit of time you can cut down and file the feed neck so it can use a clamping feedneck. all u need is hacksaw and a file.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PUMP!!! prostocks are a solid choice another sugestion for the feed neck instead of cutting it completely off is to grind the inside of it i did that to my prostock so i could fit my halo in there (could sand the hopper feedneck too)

as far as the barrel kit goes, all you need is a tight bore to prevent rollouts. cockers are closed bolt guns, which means the bolt pushes the ball past the detents before firing. You can find different cocker bodies with different feddneck options, but if you have a fixed one, you can hack it down to take an ego feedneck. just buy the feedneck first so you can fit it to the gun as you cut and hack away. (or send it to a machinist of some sort)

It will be just as accurate as his. Considering how all guns have relatively exactly the same accuracy

Any sniper(non-autococking autococker haha) is usually a solid choice, force feed hoppers aren't necessary, and if you dont want to go out and get a freak kit just get one barrel and underbore.

Freak kits really aren't necessary, one good underbore is a good choice if pump is something your not playing fulltime.
