Virtue board in the eXTCy
Has anyone switched over to a virtue instead of the blackheart?

I don't know why you would, the stock Blackheart board is awesome and more than anyone really would need.

I'm jw cause this is supposedly the second blackheart the gun I have has blown a solenoid. In less than 6 months. Previous owner had one go, GoG paid to replace it then mine went out Saturday when I went to play first time.

I've had Blackheart boards and Virtue boards in almost all of my guns, and honestly, I rather have the Blackheart board. Do what you want, but honestly, use the money to buy the barrel kit.

Well if this board is bad, it's gotta be replaced and a 3rd blackheart isn't going in on my dime. Lol

I swapped out a Virtue Redefined board in my Ion from a Blackheart. Easier to program, came with free laser eyes at the time, and was much happier with the Virtue over the Blackheart. I know your gun is slightly different, but it's your cash. I will say the only problem I had with the Virtue was the battery connector came loose and caused the board to lose power, but a quick call to Virtue, met them at world cup and they replaced the entire board, no questions asked. Amazing customer service.

I have a Virtue board in my G1, which actually needed modification to the G1 shell, believe it or not. While it works fine and gives me plenty of options in hindsight I should have just grabbed a blackheart for it. If I had an eXTCy that already came with a Blackheart I would never even dream of spending the money on a Virtue.

While I understand where your coming from, You have to remember. This is the 2nd board this gun has had in less than a year. This board has been in 3 months and has had 500 paintballs run through it and the solenoid went out on this one. So rather than buy a 3rd blackheart.... I think I'd chance a virtue for increased life on the board.... I don't want to buy another blackheart and replace it in 5 months.

The board and the solenoid are two different things. Just because the solenoid is bad doesn't mean the board is bad. A new solenoid with hose is $22.50 and is only held to the board by two screws. If Im not mistaking the virtue board doesnt come with a solenoid anyhow

It is, but the parts are available separate so If you blow your noid, you don't have to buy a whole new board and noid, you can just buy the noid instead. I have an extra noid in my tool box for this very reason.

Ya I called him up yesterday to see what was going on. He …told me he realized the solenoid was separate to buy, thank God. He also said since it's 3 months old I may not have to pay a dime. So in all if he can't get it fixed today new one will be on the way.
