Timmys is short for intimidator which is made by bob long. Poppet its the type of valve system it uses.

If you have to click submit reply/post reply or click new thread. Then that's a post...

Absolutely right, and by poppets you will see the bolt moving on the outside, as opposed to spool valves, which all the work is done in the body, like a dm, geo, or shocker etc.

well there are several types of poppets like in-line and such. Stacked tube poppets yes you are correct but there are other kinds, so if someone has a gun with a bolt that you can not see, do not automatically assume it is not a poppet.

A poppet valve is where a moving mass strikes the valve stem and opens it to release air through the bolt and out of the bolt face to fire the paintball. A spool is the other type of valve, using air pressure rather than impact to fire the marker.
There are three main types of poppet valve markers (I think...)
-Stacked-tube. This is your common Spyder or Spyder-clone marker.
-Inline. Tippmann and BT use this. All the work is done in one tube rather than two.
-Sheridan-style. This is where the blowback isn't used to re-cock it. AutoCockers use this style as well.

I know, I probably forgot something where I'll be facepalming, but...
"Timmy" is short for Intimidator, a marker made by Bob Long. There are several models of Intimidators, similar to Angel being the marker name, with several other models and options. I don't know a ton about Timmys, so ask someone else.

Thanks to all you guy for your help in getting started in the sport I have been playing 6 months now and I am now the proud owner of a self earned ego S and the captain of a Local D5 tournament team I have put in endless hours of work and dedication to be the best I can and am not stoping any time soon. The kindness and courtesy of other ballers on threads and forums like this that has motivated me to keep playing and I have since learned that this isn't just a sport, it's an extended family with the exception of a few derelicts every one is kind to one another and has a lot of respect for the other players. Every one helps everyone and no ballet is left behind. As I've grown in this sport I've also come to realize that the community is to small to make enemies so I've tried my hardest to be nice and respectful to my fellow ballers and team mates. Thank you all for your help and I look forward to taking my paintball career as far as I can hopefully one day it will be me on those PSP, and NPPL webcasts. Also if any of you ever have cheap markers to sell please come to me I do raffles to rental players every once in a while where they can win like a little azodin or spider and hopefully it inspires them to become full on ballers. Again thank you all your help is much appreciated!

Actually, there's a fourth type, used in mQ valves and the Mini family. It could be considered something like an exhaust poppet.

Angel for example is open bolt poppet. Very basic guns that people over tech . Lol
