Every time I've seen someone that admits that they crossfit, they seem to be chased out of here.
I used to lift, but not religiously like some of the big boys in here. But I would say that I was pretty strong for my height and weight. I switched to crossfit(again, not religiously) and I have to say that I'm probably in the best overall shape of my life. Although I'm satisfied with my progress, I miss being stronger and being viewed as "jacked" by some. I think I'm going to continue with Crossfit for a bit more and try lifting after to get the best of both worlds and see where that takes me.
What I really need is a good diet. Beer/alcohol/cigarettes + fatty/sweet/lots of carbs are a constant factor in my life. If I didn't work out, I'd be fat as hell and wouldn't be able to see my toes. So, as long as we do some sort of exercise and not accept being fat and lazy, we should try to get along and not **** on each other's way of achieving a healthy life.

I do a crossfit/mma hybrid workout for about 3 hours every tuesday, wednesday, and saturday with my new trainer and it has made a huge difference. In the month and a half I've been training in kuntao silat de thouars, I've lost nearly 10 pounds in fat and regained the energy I thought I'd lost in high school. Never really knew how much eating a healthy diet alongside a healthy workout regimen had to do with everything but goddamn!

Guess I was too vague, I do 50/50 training with my trainer, switching between crossfit/strength training and flexibility/energy/juru training, but mostly it has been crossfit styled training to get my heart/lungs back into working shape. It's not easy after smoking cigarettes on and off for 2 years, but I'm trying my damn hardest and it's working better than anything I've tried before. Say what you want, I'm getting the results I've been wanting for years and it's opened my eyes to a more healthy way of living.

It took me a bit cause cause it sucked so hard. Plus I was doing it with a friend and he was a bit slower. carrying a 55lb kettlebell for a mile is no joke.

I lost about 15lbs over 2 months down to 195, which isn't tons but that wasn't my overall goal. I increased my V02 max from about 39 to 48. I have increased my stamina, basically I can play more points at a higher level of intensity. My ultimate goal was to get in better Xball shape. I moved and play a different format so now my goal has changed to endurance, I still vary my workouts they are not entirely crossfit.
