I loved my XXRs, fantastic wheels for what they are. Don't expect to hit the track with them, but they are just fine for a dd.

Got my estimate for my Subaru:
5960 bucks for new short block, forged rods, crank, and pistons with others. The tuner said since its already going to be out all I have to pay for is that and probably the install.of the gauges, tune, and accessport.
Lots of money

They will work as wheels. Like awk said don't expect to track them or anything, they are knockoffs.

That's is a bit much for just a short block, who is that with? You can get a Dom block for $4300.

...
Was plugging the AP into my computer earlier getting it to work. It didn't. As I was pulling it out, one of the 9-pin screws got stuck and wouldn't come out. Trying to fix that and, basically, the cover to the 9pin came out. FML.
So my dad take it and gets it back on, but now the damn AP won't get any power. I'd like to remind you this is ALL from a damn cover coming loose.
My dad gets into it trying to diagnose why the **** it's not working and comes to the conclusion it must have shorted out when I unplugged it at one point and fried one of the boards in there (he had a name for it, I can't remember it), It's getting power, everything is fine except for that damn board.
I mean, this isn't the guys fault who shipped it to me because it was, except for the voltage issue, working yesterday when trying to get it on the car. It shorted out. So I can't return this one and it's sure as hell not worth it to trade it into Cobb for a V2.
**** this man. The AP shouldn't be this ****ing fickle.

4300 for just the built block is pretty good being rated for 1000hp but I don't need that. Paying 3k for a block with forged Subaru rods, choice of JE, Weico, or CP pistons, Subaru crank, etc etc etc
I'll post the estimate later after I edit it for stalker purposes :/

How much does the stock VF48 go for on NASIOC?
Trying to find every excuse to use my new turbo if I can get a return on my old one. What do you think I can get for my NIB FP HTA Green? Bought it new for like 1399 bucks

On my experience with cheap wheels--they look all right from a good distance, but as you get closer you can tell they're knock-offs (center cap aside).
A nice, forged wheel just looks so much better.

Ugh that's purdy.
Any idea how large the rear area is in the BRZ? Aka will it hold a dog?
I really want a BRZ and I'm moving to the south so I won't be needing awd anymore.

A nice forged wheel is not wwhat he needs at all.
Go with what suits your purpose.
My XXRs worked just fine on my DD for over a year until the car got totalled. Even then they were fine.

Just go find a FRS or a BRZ and sit in one/drive it to get a feel. Obviously there's small differences but it's 99.9% the same car.
