Black/Gold "factory anno" dm8?
I just bought this dm8 on here and the guy said the anno is a factory done thing, which i believe just because it still has all of the badges and it doesnt look like an aftermarket job. Any word on a number behind this anno run?

no pics, festival ate my smartphone last weekend so all i have is a ****ty flip with no camera. the body is black, the asa and feedneck bases are black, but the frame/reg/bolt cap/lpr cap/feedneck clamp/asa screw are dust gold. not sure about the stock trigger or UL because it came with a violent trigger and a cp barrel.
edit- googled it and tracked down an old owners pics, added to the first post

Doesn't look or sound factory to me. Can you see machine marks on the body? That is usually a tell tale sign of a re anno if it wasn't done well. Nonetheless it is a sick marker! Good find.

no thats the thing, the parts are all factory condition AND all badges are still in tact (usually at least the frame logos fall off, and i've seen very few re-annos with the button pad still attached).

you know most people take badges off when reannoing then put them back on. im pretty sure that was a custom job, not a factory anno.
none the less, it doesn't really matter.

you can easily take the factory badges off before an anno job and re-apply them. I know from getting my DM9 anno'd.
I don't remember any factory black and gold DM8s when they came out. Doesn't mean there wasn't any though.

Take it apart and look for the serial number on the main body, if it has it is a factory anno

im thinking custom anno. i dont recall ever hearing about a gold and black release. Almost all of dye's two color gun releases were fades. Tampa bay damage was the only team to get a gun with different color accents (blue/bronze). If it were a factory release, it would have probably been a late 2008 release when they were phasing them out for the dm9 (which was the first year, accented guns were produced in mass). Also the labels can be ordered from dye when a gun is still in production and glued on, just most people are too lazy to order them or stick them back on after they remove them for anno.
