E-FLEX ear piece guide, and special E-Flex 8 photos
Since this is a new mask and people are already looking for a way to mod or customize them other then the obvious, here is a guide to the ear pieces you can use
Standard E-Flex Ears
Event ZN Ears (slight cut in front to fit)
Original Event Ears (slight cut in front to fit)
instead of using those plastic hardware to hold the strap and ears together you can also use jt flex hardware, to add the new strap all you need is to cut the empire e-flex one and add your own style (km, jt, jt racing, etc)

the zn ears wouldnt work very well on a regular flex. i3 soft ears work well with a couple cuts.

I put event ears on mine. They are the same with the exception of a notch. So the event ears must be cut to fit right. I just sniped a 1/4" square out of a part that is covers by the mask and not visable. They work just fine.

Snap. Ive been rocking hard ears for a little more than a decade and my local shop only has Zn ears and those little jt ears that protect ears from paintballs like a mesh condom from pregnancy, and I'm trying to avoid having just ears shipped and waiting on them and all that.

I like the ear mod. I emailed Empire and they said that the Event ears wouldn't fit, but I see that they do with some minor cuts.
I am going to mod some "star" ears to fit a white eflex.

I need clarification on the strap change. You had to cut and ruin the eflex strap to get the plastic connectors to attach to a new strap correct? Im assuming there isn't much of an eflex strap aftermarket selection yet.....

if you want to save the eflex strap, you can buy another empire event strap for $12, and cut the strap, (no matter what, you need to cut the strap from the plastic clip to add an aftermarket strap)

Once you remove the stock plastic hardware that holds the earpiece to the eflex or event strap clip, can it be reused? I dont currently have flex screw hardware on hand, but ive been wanting to get my eflex strap/clip separated from the earpiece so i could reposition the strap over the earpiece where it normally threads thru, so i can tighten the strap up more.
