If that doesn't make sense or seem weird its because I'm tired and it's early...but....IM GOING PAINTBALLING TODAY!

Taking the club out, hopefully these new people will get interested in the sport.

I'm only playing pump (thanks to Dom) today, so I shouldn't scare away to many of them

I still have yet to finish my pump project. $$$

This coming Saturday we are doing a Civil War scenario based on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Wilderness This will be a ton of fun, I hope. First 2 hours we can only add the amount of paint that will fit into the feedneck, no hoppers. D: My Geo2 will starve.

Div 1 medal comes home to the Mitten! Proud of the guys I know that play on TCP Machine.

Just got home a lil bit so ago after my first time leading a small group, all of teens. Had 10 total. Had tons of fun too!

I must say...playing pump (and alot of woodsball) was some of the most fun I've had playing paintball in a very long time. I shot through maybe 1 and 1/4 hopper. and used very very little air. Once I got it somewhat tuned and chrono'd it was shooting 280's. Got a couple of kills. Not bad for a first time pumper. But I did learn very quickly that being aggressive with a pump is alot more fun than being the last one alive.

Mm I love the fast paced nature of speedball, I'm just starting to find the CTF thing (ie. always the same) boring. Which is why I wrote Vball and am wanting to try Formula5.

The milsim club I went to a few times up in auckland have a multi station F5 type setup. Three or four bases with flags spread over the field, and an electronic scoring system that gives points based on which team owns the bases every few seconds. Think Battlefield control points. It's awesome fun and the game timer and buzzers, scoring etc. is all done via wireless electronics and a computer so no need for refs to run the game. Throw in cool rules like medics, heavy support (allowed a hopper + electro) etc. etc. and it becomes an awesomely tactical game with roles. Even better if you make it so only certain team members "engineers" are allowed to actually capture the bases. Means there's an element of VIP protection thrown in and forces teamwork since there's suddenly no point going solo if you want your team to win.

These days I shoot pump just cos I do. Definitely gotta work on that accuracy to be effective.

Just gotta say...

I love playing pump as well. Speedball or in the woods. Aggressive yes, last man ... meh, I'm down. Last summer I was dropped at our last remaining fort that was pretty much surrounded. All the other guys I reinserted with hit the woods while I dove in the fort, thinking they were right behind me. I only had about a dozen balls left and had debated even reinserting as it was at the end of the day, and now I started to think I had made the wrong decision. I took out 4 before I ran out of paint. It was intense. and them bad guys weren't playing pump.

haha nice! Yeah, the kills that I got were much more satisfying with just shooting 1 or 2 rather than throwing a whole line of paint.

I miss playing pump ....everyone out here just wants to sling paint on the speedball field....no woodsball or scenario out here....unless it's some sort of "outlaw" game.

Nice!

I may have a job lined up as well.
It is with another solar company, but farther away from my home.

There are always downsides to a new job and for me these are:
travel (as in getting to work will take me 45 minutes daily and from work to vendor sites all over the bay area).
Pay rate is the same, but due to travel gas will eat up some of that.
Pay period is only 1 pay a month! so we'll be at the end of the month to see where we can make ends meet.
Healthcare benefits are going to be almost nonexistent.

But, through it all, God opened these doors and I'm going to remain grateful for having a job to support all 5 of us.

God is good.

Not to belittle your college experience, but.....

....try having NO JOB, three small kids and a wife to support, a mortgage and bills to pay EVERY month. yeah. THAT'S stressful.

But on the positive side, I have seen God provide. I have seen Him protect and I have seen Him give peace.

All the stress does not compare to Him and His Grace and Mercy on me.

Always pray for everybody in here.

Howzit Krew?

New thread coming up. Any ideas on it's title?

Wil, interested in opening it up for old times sake? If not I'm happy to do so, as well as the members roster.

Might not be around by then. I think I will only be on the phone for a couple of days (internet at home will have to be shut down for a couple of weeks if this job thing doesn't pan out), sp yeah.

engineering technician. Mainly for either the solar industry or the semiconductor industry.

But I'm open to pretty much anything.
