Frank, You can use an ETEK or EGO8 solenoid as long as you have the proper mainfold. I have installed both. You will need to up the dwell to 13.

hello, my solenoid manifold barb connected to the torpedo leaks until I loosen the torpedo and turn it back in while under pressure. I believe its time to change the barb orings but I cannot find what size they are. Can anyone shed some light on this dilemma?

Sounds like you need to change the hose or maybe just take it off, trim a hair from it and re-install.

Hey Bill, I have a Ego9 and I've been having some issues with the first few shots. Its been supercharging the first few shots. I've turned down the first shot dropoff all the way down. But it will still have this issue. I have a rebuild kit for it and was thinking of just replacing all the o-rings in the marker. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Check out the LPR piston. See if the seal is cracked or missing. If so, PM me.

Not sure if I can post this here, but I think it's ok.
So I have an Etek3 AM, and even with a fresh battery I'm getting inconsistent shots.
The first couple, shooting slowly are about 320ish. Once I start ramping in psp12 it goes to about 230.
Note I'm using zick2, cure3+.

Drop off is typically...
Low or inexpensive battery.
Needs an overhaul of orings or just a clean/lube.
Airtank is slow to recharge. Could be as simple as the asa knob is being threaded in to far. Once you hear the gas transfer, only turn the knob in 3/4 more.
Dwell could be to low or high. Should be between 12.5 and 13.

The hose is too short and pulling the barb to the side. Twisting the torpedo helps seat the oring so looks like I will be looking for a new hose which otta be an adventure. Thanks for your feedback.

Took apart the LPR and everything was fine with it. The only thing I thought was odd was the SL printed on it. Broke down the reg again and took a look at the reg piston and the seal was cracked and a piece was missing. Changed it out with a brand new one and it seems to have fixed the supercharging issue. I'll know for sure this weekend.

NO! It needs to be pressed in. You will need a new LPR piston. Make sure it is an EGO8 style. The newer ones are different. You can also use the brass style from EGO5/6/7.
