Well you are in the alien forum. Most people seem to love them though.

used mine at a msxl event since my vapor that i had at the time decided not to work, the invasion shot absolute money, i could not ask for a better gun at the price. The axe and the invasion are both amazing guns, just depends on the style of gun you want but damn. Jack and Simon made it so you get the biggest bang for your buck weather it be an axe or invasion, i will say the invasion has more of a highend feel to it.

you really cant go wrong no matter what. 650 brand new and the resale is 500 to 550. i have never let anyone shoot mine who didnt fall in love with it. if you spend enough time with the gun you will get used to the sweep bolt and after that, no other gun will ever shoot as well.

Barrel Kit definitely helps.
I like the Indy better myself. Better looks and ergonomics, not to mention better trigger and all that.
I would get a used viking over an Axe! Heck I have a STDM5 that shoots better and is more reliable. Also better looking!
But to each his own!

I have an 2011 Indy.
Was hesitant on buying at first but after I shot it, was blown away.
The gun is much better than my 09ego.
The only thing I don't like is its a bit big and a different barrel kit is needed.
overall good gun

you just fixed it with a new battery It was not broken it had a dead battery.
The miss information out there about these guns is just ridiculous
The invasion (like the independence) is rock solid low maintenance. I dont see how people break these things. You attach your loader, your tank and you shoot it. wipe it down and put it away until the next time you play.
Not only is it practically maintenance free, its a very soft shooting marker. softer than most other markers on the market (even $1000 markers). How do i know this? because I shoot $1000 markers every week. The difference is shot quality is soooo small. The invasion shoots nicer if anything.
The first two threads about invasion problems listed in the forum right now include someone who STRIPPED his asa/reg (how do you do this!??!) and the other was fixed buy going to a new battery (judging by his spelling skills, he is very young and does not know to much about the marker)
tl;dr
These are great low maintenance markers that shoot awesome. buy one.

Don't like going out of my way to defend myself on a public online forum, but firefox, you are being very critical.
I have played paintball for over a decade, and yes I agree, crossthreading a tank in the asa/reg is user error, though it does not warrant being used as an example in the negative connotation of your previous post.
You seem to be defending Alien quite adamantly, but in neither mine nor the other post does anybody refer to the quality of the guns.
For the record, besides an easily repaired leak and my own error in crossthreading my tank, my Invasion has shot great! Plus you can't say enough about the customer service Jack Rice provides

I understand that things happen, I have done some ridiculous things my self that would leave people wondering what I was thinking.
My point being is that from the view of someone new to alien, the first two "broken invasion" threads listed at that moment where not really "broken" rather user error. It just gets to me (being a DP owner) because when word gets out that the invasion does not shoot half the time (dead battery) or the ASA/reg is junk because of this and that (you did not say it was junk by any means, just how people might interpret if they quickly read the thread) then people will take the fact that its less than $1000 and put it into the "not as good as a high end gun, more of a mid end/ low end when in reality it shoots like a high end and is sold for mid end price (no barrel kit, no oled.. it should not carry a high end price)
sorry if I came off harsh.

I think 4C is the actual company that makes them. Yup.

You can also get them from other paintball shops. Jack may even sell them. In reality they're only really helpful if you're shooting in semi auto, or so I've heard.

Really only helpful if you shot over 19 BPS.
Also the Hater boards are 4 eye compatible - in that they work.
The Virtue boards - plug in - but only the OLED have 4 eye logic.
Still I feel Virtue is the better board.

4c eyes are a huge improvement for semi. Shoot them and I promise you'll see. (Pun?)

I remember when they first came out a buddy of mine had them in his marq. He could rip off some pretty impressive streams in semi with them. Faster than he could without them. Not fast enough to win him any more games though .
