There are padded shirts made by a lot of the major paintball companies, but other than that just go with baggy clothes or layers. Paintballs don't hurt too bad anyway, it's something you need to get used to if you plan on playing a lot.

Baggy clothes.... just went through this with my buddy thats like 23. You'd of thought he was dressing to go put his hand in a bee hive or something with the **** he came up with. Baggy pants, t-shirt,hooded sweatshirt, bandana around the throat, backwards hat or stocking hat... You're good to go.
edit~ I did that based on the fact you're from south bend and experiencing the same high 50 low 60 weather we are....

Baggy undershirt, baggy jersey, elbow pads, paintball pants or cargos, sandana/ headband/beanie, mask.
That's all you need. Not stupid amounts of "protection"

I don't bother with any pads, but I do go out of my way to protect the particularly sensitive parts- adam's apple and knuckles.
I won't play without gloves and a scarf/shemagh around my neck.

I actually recently gave up the gloves and neck guard. Promptly got shot in the neck in two consecutive games, in exactly the same spot. Frankly, I'm more worried about the "wedding tackle" than anything else, and I protect that accordingly.

Why do you need more protection? I use a jersey just cause I like the elbow pads for diving. I've been shot just about everywhere you can and I've never felt the need for protection. (Other than a cup, that's a duh)

Depending on my mood either a t shirt, or paintball jersey. Paintball pants or camo cargos. Headband or sandana and my mask. No gloves, no cup. Oh and knee and elbow pads.

I stopped wearing a cup ages ago as well, much more comfortable and most paintball pants are baggy/padded enough in that area that it isn't too bed to get shot there.

Exactly even in my camo pants I've taken a few hits there. Old school BDU's are baggy enough in that region as well. The most I wear for protection down there is compression shorts. Which isn't really protection at all haha
