2011 Rail Low Velocity Issues
I cannot get my Rail to shoot over 240ish fps.
I have the dwell turned all the way up now and the reg backed all the way out. The gun is shooting consistently around 240fps with those setting so how can I get it up to 300fps?
btw: stock dwell and backing the reg all the way out gets me to 220ish

The dwell should be around 14, lowering it would help. Make sure the guns well lubed and replace all the orings.

Dude, stock dwell on these guns is 40! At 40 the gun fires around 220fps. I have cranked it up to 50 now and I am around 240fps.
Also, bolt assembly has been freshly lubed and the battery used is brand new.

Did you take apart the hyper 3 recently? If you did, are you sure you got the shim stack put back properly?

Check to make sure your shims are stacked correctly like nonameputs stated, then you may need to add another shim. In some cases this requires a new solenoid as well. If your gun is still under warranty then the parts are covered.

Does the shim stack look correct? I am really struggling to figure out what else the problem could be.

Have you tried zero'ing out your reg and setting it back to stock?

Pic isnt showing up for me. Should look like ()()()()()()
If you add a shim, then you would want it like this ()()()()()()(

My shim stack is correct then. I do not have an extra shim to add-on, but I don't believe adding one would increase my velocity by roughly 40fps.

Actually u'd be surprised how much a shim can add, your adjuster screw wont bottom out either.
heres my suggestion.. (find a friend with another reg, and try that..) or call dye and order a shim.. which is cheap.

I wish the Hyper 3 didn't have the goofy small threads so I could try another one of my regs on there.
I guess my next step is to call DYE to order a shim and see if that does the trick.
Thanks all for the responses so far.
