indeed it has. NPPL cost the same to play d1 and d2, and less then psp for that matter, and the prize is double if not more. Honestly, its a joke to compare the % play time to the cost. Really?

That's not how it has always been. There was a time where the winning team came out on top, in each division. and had some left over. It doesn't make sense that I could play a local and win more money then a national.
Or wait... maybe because appa makes everything fair you have to give up your winnings.

Leta be realistic though. Psp puts out alot to host these events yes. But just d3 and up xball there making wayyyy more than there paying out while d4 5 and xball prolly cover the cost to host the event.
Im new to pb i started march this yr and played my first psp at mao and will be attending cup. I love this sport and tournament balling. I feel this is what i was meant to do its something im really good at and i put my all into. But your paying 1000 or 2800 dollers to have to win a tournament just to get ur entry back so heres no way lossible to break even unless you won every event then play the next series free and win all of those

Regardless pb is amazing and i look forward to playing the full sries next season!!! Sorry tp hear about d2 but i also believe it could be due to lack of d1 teams. Seams very logical

I'm not trying to say we should be breaking even. I'm just pointing out that no one gets close. Even pro teams.

I stand corrected on the 7man entry fees. I thought it was more.

I feel like we can all agree that with NPPL and PSP on you get what you pay for.

I'm surprised no one is disputing that with 7man, you have 7-9 people breaking up the cost, and with xball you have 8-12

still doesnt change the fact that for what ur paying to play the prize package and pay out is much more in the nppl where as the psp just gives u a pat on the back and says goodluck hope u can afford the next one.

This isn't necessarily true.

PSP Pro, D1 and D2 prize packages are bigger than the same divisions in NPPL.
If you are a D3 team, in PSP if you win you get entry fees, and in NPPL the D3 prizes get taken by sandbagging D1/D2 teams.

So except for D1/D2 teams playing D3 in NPPL, PSP has the best prizes.

Now, if you consider "People remembering you won" to be part of the prize package, then the only league to play is PSP. NPPL doesn't seem to even write that stuff down. Who won D2 NPPL Chicago in 2010? Who played on the team? No idea.

The reality is this: If you're trying to win money playing paintball, go to NPPL Vegas, and bet your entry fee on black. The odds are better.

This^^^

I think it was just so the D2 teams that were more-or-less on podium every event would have more incentive to make the bump sooner.

Since PSP and raehl are so happy to tell us what the entry fees are and justify them then maybe they should tell us what the series prizes are instead of "lol, I never check the threads here on pbnation, lol. Didn't think anyone was wondering about this, lol. Probably what it was last year. Thanks!"

**** that.

What issue?

PSP offers something like 10 different divisions. If you think D2 costs to much, play D1.
