There is a big difference between debating/discussing an issue, and delivering a speach. Obama is much better at delivering a speach when he just has to read the words and speak them. He is good at energizing the crowd and such. Romney is not as good there, but much better at understanding his material and responding when he has to think on his feet.
When Romney was governor here, there was an incident where a woman was killed in the big dig tunnel. A concrete ceiling panel fell on her car. They had a press conference about this. First person to speak was the director of the turnpike authority. It was lolbad. Like 50 times worse than what you can imagine. Stumbling over words and had no idea what he was talking about. Then Romney spoke and had learned all about the different fasteners, the concrete, where the problem was, what to do to fix it, etc. The guy is very good at taking charge and fixing things, which is what we need. Obama is horrible at that.

Maybe we are thinking of different movies, or I just saw a different preview. There was a small part about the black basketball team being better by virtue of being black, but the rest didn't seem like that at all. Plus there are a ton of stars in the movie. |

Someone I know just saw looper and he said it was cheesy throughout and people laughed at the ending that was supposed to be serious. Which pisses me off because I really think it looks good.

I've heard Looper was good if you can get past the whole time space continuum and the fact that the previews are terribly misleading about the actual plot.

Dude, it's WV. Nobody has a college education here.
Unless it's community college for some bs business degree for which I would almost always get the nod based on experience as I've been an interim GM and an Assistant Manager.

I saw it the other night..... I didn't think it was cheesy, but there were a lot of fairly funny tidbits in it. The ending was a little awkward, but only because it didn't have a normal "energetic happy music" ending.
Overall I liked it.
