working on a top secret project. one of my friends is a "somewhat" popular streamer on twitch.tv. usually averages around 150/200 views consistantly while he streams. he had this idea for a site that allows you to watch 1 or 2 streams simultaneously. with the 1 stream, you can watch it a little larger then it would appear on twitch, also with less distractions, and with 2 you can watch them side by side. and on either, you can still participate in the respective chats. there is at least one or two out there, but they are pretty ****ty, so i'm, of course, making one that is awesome haha here's where I'm at right now.

we eventually want to make it put streams from other sources as well, like ustream, google, etc. and we'll also look into making custom pages for the more popular streamers. eventually I'll query strings in the url working, so if you link sitename.com/?user1=(username)&username2=(username2) it would pull the 2 usernames (or one) and automatically set the screens respectively

the development on this is pretty intense though, doing it all in just html, css, and javascript/jquery so it can be just 1 page with zero new page loads. makes it a little smoother and slick looking that way.

What would be cool is if I could be playing a game and stream from my webcam as well as from FRAPS at the same time, and watch it on my second monitor so I could watch my own reactions to what I'm playing.

That'd be so meta.

but yea, this site has pretty good potential to have a flood of traffic even off the launch. My friend plans to set up several dual casts with fellow streamers, so it's got very solid potential to receive thousands of visitors even with the first few hours of official launch. then start up google ad sense and watch the dollars flow in

Why the heck would you waste good money on guineas? Those are the absolute most annoying animals I have ever been around, and that includes a dog that constantly tried to hump anything that was still for more than 5 seconds.

eh, i wouldn't call it a low. i've made profiles on dating sites, but never really done much. feels kind of weird to me to date online, but i know a lot of people who use them.
