So on an Ego11, I would recommend either 450 to 550psi, which will cover any board settings or upgrades you decide to use (as well as stock ego11's)
What is the benefit of running a lower pressure? I also have an Ego11 and a Geo3. What would I notice or gain from using 450-550psi vs 800psi?

I have Ninja regulator with top lip of the bonnet damaged. I read many post about removing the bonnet by un-screwing the two allen screws. What do I do if there are no screws? I'm pretty sure it's an old model. If it's removable, can I replace it with a newer model bonnet?

What I want to know is: is it safe to take the switch the bonnet/piston/and spring stack from a SLP with those parts in a regular ninja reg.

On a marker, you can run Ego11's and Geo3's at 800psi but you're just making the hpr work harder to regulate 800psi down to the operating pressure of both markers versus the 450-550psi we recommend. Why make the internals of your marker work harder when it doesnt need it? You may also see improvements that players claim (more shots per fill) but we have not been able to duplicate those test results.

Hi Mike. You can buy a rebuild kit for $12 which includes bonnet screws. If you dont have screws, you need to install some as soon as possible because you dont want your bonnet (top half of your reg) to unscrew from the reg body when unscrewing it from your marker. The rebuild kit will also include our Gen II Piston, 1.8k burst disk, pressure adjustment shims, pin valve seat, and some tools.

No. Since each regulator is hand built, there is no way to guarantee that the spring pack from another SLP will work in the body and give you 275-300psi output in an adjustable reg body. Parts are interchangeable but there is extensive testing that goes on behind the scenes on the SLP to ensure it outputs at the specified pressure.

Yes, ninja pro regs are different than the standard regs. Totally different internal spring pack and different way of adjusting. Consult your manual if need to find out how to adjust the pressure. If you no longer have it, we have copies you can download from our website

So, I just found a buyer for my Ninja 68/4500, and understood I should to empty it before shipping. In the process of emptying (from 3000psi to 0) It started slowly leaking from the bonnet. Is this an easy fix? Why did it happen?

Alright this guy is trying to sell me a Ninja 50/45 and he says the glass on it is starting to split..is this just cosmetic damage? Will it affect safety or performace at all? And why do these bottles come wrapped with carbon fiber then glass fiber?

If it's from the bonnet, just disassemble the reg and clean the inside, then relube it. That will usually fix a bonnet leak. Make sure it's degassed before disassembling.

There was a small batch of tanks with bad gel coating that would crack after a while. It's generally cosmetic and safe to still use. The 4500psi tanks are wrapped in carbon fiber for strength, then they add a gel coating to protect the carbon fiber. The purpose is to strengthen the metal tank so it can withstand a higher pressure without adding a lot more weight.

Not sure the warranty transfers with the bottle, but if it does, use this link.

did you vent the air really fast? If so, condensation will occur and moisture will form inside the reg and on the outside, the condensation will get so cold that it will turn to a layer of frost. If condensation occurs, then the moisture could have prevented the system from sealing up and start leaking.

If this is how you vented the air, you cant stop the moisture from forming using this method.

Hi Dannyboy768. if its just a split, that is cosmetic damage and the tank is still 100% safe to use and it will not affect the performance of the regulator.

the bottles dont come with carbon fiber AND fiber glass. its a fiber wrapped aluminum core with a gel coat over it.

btw, you can get the bottle warrantied and have a new gel coat put on if you follow our warranty link on our website.

Rob, I just wanted to say how satisfied I was with sending my tank in for the cracked clearcoat. From the day I sent my tank out it only took them 9 days to get it back to me, great turnaround time in my opinion! Very happy about that!

Also, do you know what it is that is causing the clearcoat to crack on these tanks? Before packing up my tank I was letting the air out. As the tank was getting colder I could hear the clearcoat making a pinging sound. I looked at the cracks and noticed they had gotten longer.

Overall, great customer service from Ninja!

Hey rob1525. Thanks for the update and i'm happy to hear the warranty process was fairly painless and turnaround time was quick! From what we're hearing, the new gel coat looks great and so far, no issues with cracks

As far as what is causing it, its a mystery. If the manufacturer's knew the problem, I'm sure they would fix it immediately. I know they have tried a few different formulas this year and I have a feeling the may have taken care of the issue with the new formula they are putting on your guys' bottles. People say it might be the expanding and contracting of the bottle and the gel coat not "flexing" enough but its all speculation.

Please keep me updated if you have any other issues. Thanks again for the update

If we knew what caused the issue, we could tell you how to prevent it. Because noone knows what causes it, any recommendation I give might not work. Tank covers provide another layer of protection over the fibers, just like the gel coat. That might help protect it against anything hitting up against it. If its the tank expanding and contracting thats causing it, there is no way you could prevent it from splitting further.

The new gel coat formula, so far, has no issues. You shouldnt need to worry about the problem if you send the bottle back to the manufacturer to be re-worked.
