Just wondering can you take a axe out of the package take out the stock bolt install boss bolt then air it up and shoot it? or should you put a couple cases through it first with stock settings?

You can pop it right in. You may want to shoot the stock bolt first just to see the differences. Also the Axe will probably come chronoed around 300 from the factory so you will have to adjust your settings to get the proper fps.

Just installed my new Infamous bolt with the INFAMOUS BOLT GUIDE O-RING KIT and noticed that the bolt doesn't move as freely as the stock bolt. any suggestions?

It should grab a little more. Just make sure you use a quaility lube and lube the tip as well, make sure it dry fire and the bolt returns well on the cycle.

I asked this earlier but didn't get a response.
Basically, I ordered the Infamous Boss bolt and see it has a few springs in the picture. What do these different springs do/what are the benefits of each?

They serve a purpose of diff tension. Short spring lets you lower the operating pressure since the bolt needs less force, long spring allows u to have a softer shot with more tension.
Basically they serve the purpose of letting the owner customize there axe and get their own shot that they like by adjusting with springs, dwell, operating pressure and turns on the back cap

Ok I'm hoping you guys can help me out. Went and played this past weekend and had some issues. First ill tell you my settings then tell you what was going on.
Settings: Infamous boss bolt, med spring, dwell 3ms, 1 and a half turns out, and .685/.679
Issue: So I got everything ready to play and went out to the chrono to see what I was shooting. I had the .685 bore at this point because I didn't have any problems last time. Took my first shot 255, turned it out a little bit, still 255. Shot it a few more times and it wouldn't get over 260. I turned the back cap out pretty far and still wouldn't get over 260.
So after all of that I took the bolt out, lube all the orings on the bolt and bolt guide, put my .679 bore on and went back to see what it was at again. Still wouldn't get over 260, had one 269 but that was it. I had a new battery in it so I knew it wasn't that.
I ended up throwing in the stock bolt, reset the board and checked it in at my shop. He took a look at it and he said nothing was wrong with it, all that it needed was everything to be lube. Ididnt put the bolt back it yet and haven't change the settings back either.
What do you guys think was the issue? And what settings should I try now? I really liked what I had last time which is what I had it above. If you can let me know that would be great. Thanks!

Use the short spring, 3-4ms dwell, 1.5 turns out. Start from there and use the stickied tuning guide in this forum to sweet spot your marker.
Also, you will need an underbore barrel (.678-.682) to really see a good FPS/consistency gain.

Just as an FYI, when using the Boss/Lurker bolts, you're to set the velocity with the Reg Pressure, not the back cap. Once you set the cap at 1 1/2 turns, you shouldn't touch it again unless you're going to try and really fine tune your gun.
What was your psi reading on the guage? I know having just installed mine, I can't drop mine below 160 yet or i get into the low 260's.

Ok let me get this right. When putting the back cap at 1 1/2 turns out I shouldn't mess with that? So what if my fps is low? Do I adjust the psi? So if the fps is low I need to adjust the psi from 140 to like 150 with the dwell still at 3ms?

I currently have a V2 already tuned with Yellow spring installed shooting 280FPS (local limit). I have read a few threads were the OP asked the difference between the new Infamous bolt and the V2. The answer being the O-rings are made to last longer and contain a better seal (my thinking only and can be way off). However, I am getting confused by the answers.... Half posted that you need the new Infamous Bolt and the other half posted said you can buy the Infamous o-rings and pop them on the V2 bolt. So, which is it...new Infamous bolt or just get o-rings to swap out of the old V2 style?
TIA

Ok I get it. Awesome, thanks guys! I'll try my settings again and just change the psi to get the right fps.

If referencing the difference between v2 vs xsv/infamous bolt, that's correct.
