They all have strengths and weaknesses, there is not one definite answer. If there was, only one hopper would be used. Read up on the existing reviews to get the most feedback and make a decision off of that.

O almost forgot Z2 FTW AAg Sauce Bacon Grease, HHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!. You will get a lot of that.

I haven't tried the Z2 but I would take a Rotor (any version) over a Prophecy (first version is the only version I have tried).

The Spire looks promising, but I have not tried it yet.

the spire is light as a Z2, Small as the rotor, quietest, and most consistant feed rate of the other two.

Is it worth shelling out $200 for a new one compared to a used version of the Z2 or Rotor for closer to $100? Is it that much better to warrant a $70+ increase?

I have owned all 3 as of a couple of days ago. Just picked up a Spire. I owned the Rotor first and while I think it is built very well, I never had much luck with it. It just always seemed to jam on me. I had to use the jam trigger at least once per full hopper. Nothing I could do would fix that. I traded the Rotor for the Z2 and I never looked back. The Z2 seems a bit more fragile to me but I haven't had any reliability issues. It has only jammed on me once and that was because of poor paint. I love the internals and I prefer the way it looks over the Rotor. It has my vote of the two. As for the Spire, it is hard for anyone to give a decent review since it is so new but I have not had any problems with mine yet. I think it feeds better than both the Z2 and Rotor. It seems more consistent and it has not jammed on me yet. Really nice design but the speed-feed is just alright. It doesn't hold paint in like an Exalt. I am keeping my Z2 for now since only time will tell how the Spire holds up but if it continues to work like it has been I will sell the Z2 and use the Spire as my primary loader.

Okay cool. I'll probably get a Z2 and trade up for a spire if reviews are good.

Good choice. Last thing you want to do is get just the Spire to find out that is has problems that have not been discovered yet.

I love my rotor. I've had it for well over a year, maybe two now, and it has always fed relatively well (I live in FL and humidity is ridiculous here). I've beat it up, it's been through lots of rain, etc and keeps working. Can't go wrong with one.

Love my spire, no problems at all, I've used and have owned all the loaders stated and the spire is by far my favorite. Light, fast, speed feed is great once broken in, easy breakdown and very small profile, and IMHO looks better than any loader out.

Man I don't know what to get truthfully. All of them seem to be great choices.

I did see a guy get shot right on the button to pop the z2 shell apart during a tourney and dumped all his paint. Was a funny sight. Sucks to be out and lose all the paint in your hopper at the same time.

That said i've used both and they both get the job done. With most tournies/fields being 12.5/15bps capped, its basically whichever one you think feels/looks better imo.

Agreed. Won my spire in a tournament and have been trying to sell my rotor ever since.

I've used all three of the "super-loaders" (z2, rotor, spire) pretty extensively and the spire is definitely the best, mostly because it's solved weaknesses present in the rotor and prophecy and retains both of their strengths.

It feeds reballs as well as a prophecy does, and jams far less than my rotor (which was a v3 and always had fresh batteries) did. It is also much more durable than the prophecy, and i'd argue for that matter that it's slightly more durable than the rotor because i've seen several rotors come in half, and there's almost no way of this happening to the spire unless you decide to take out the screws holding the halves together, (which there is no reason to do) and dont tighten them properly.

The spire also weighs less than a rotor and about the same as a prophecy, but has a lower profile than either. It also holds a little more than both, and is easier to take apart and clean. Its also really easy to change back and forth between the speedfeed and lid, which is more of a strength of the spire over the rotor than the prophecy, which is also pretty easy.

Those are just my thoughts. I don't think that the spire is the be all and end all of hopper technology, but just from having used all three I don't see any reason to either use my rotor or miss my z2 other than that the speedfeed isnt impressive.

It's entirely possible they've changed things from the Prophecy, but the Prophecy had two buttons you had to push and the hopper had to be out of the feedneck. If they haven't changed anything, then the hopper was already broken and assembled incorrectly.
