help bent barrel

I just got a freak back on ebay and it came in slightly bent. It's hard to notice but it is a little noticeable. Any way to straighten it back out

You would have to buy another tip if that is what is bent.

You won't be able to straighten the barrel. Return it.

Actually depends on where its bent. If the entire bend is between the marker and tip threads, it can be straightened on a rolling press. But if either set of threads are bent it can't be fixed. I'd send it back, the cost to straighten it would be more than what its worth unless its super rare.

Not even sure a rolling press would do it due to the milling on the outside of the back. Definitely agree on the cost benefit analysis though.

You could probably get it straight enough for the inserts to seat using a bead roller. If you made a wood jig you could definitely straighten it but again, cost outweighs the value by a lot.
