Nope. I'm currently on the prowl for some knee and elbow pads. Both sets hold a purpose for me, the main one going for bounces but also to help out my joints a little bit.

Unfortunately, i always feel like i have to longball with my 16 inch barrel, because i get torn up if i move up by people with Axe's and other electro markers. That's what makes me feel like a *****, because i don't have the balls to move up.
This will come in time. Most players biggest problems is overthinking their next move. They hesitate. Just go go go go go. If you aren't feeling pressure on you, move up.

You're not a wuss for wearing padding. I wear a tac-vest that serves the purpose of holding my extra mags and pods, as well as my air and water, but it also offers a lot of protection from hits. I highly suggest wearing some sort of groin protection, that hurts the most!

Yes it does.

No not really.

I prefer to wear less to avoid getting super hot and sweating like a mf. Also more maneuverability and less chance of getting caught on things ( we play in abandoned buildings and stuff )

If you are going to play on a tournament level, then knee and elbow pads are necessary, especially if you are going to play front or snake. It's not to be a baby. Yes, it helps with bounces, but without the proper padding you can hurt yourself when sliding or diving or just kneeling.

Elbow pads and knee pads are needed... Slider shorts and paintball pants will def help to protect ur jewels which is very important... Above and beyond that your kinda getting into sissy land but it all really depends... I used to wear a bounce vest to lesson the duration that the welts would last for... I would play a lot and wasn't very good so I got shot up a ton back in the day, I had welts that would last for two weeks and playing twice a week getting shot to high hell all of the time I looked pretty bad.. I was sick of looking like an octopus so I got the vest lol... I don't wear it anymore though and well... I dont typically get shot that much anymore... If your a new player I guess its ok... Those kids in like down jackets and stuff... Lol... Generally if I see someone with a vest I assume they are a newb... Hope this helps

I find it's better to err on the side of more protection until you're comfortable with what works best for your game/the way you play.

dont listen guys like this. sure he may have got lucky that day, but next week he might trip and fall while running to cover. next thing you know you have scraps and cuts everywhere, you cant bent your elbow because you hit a rock, and you are limping because you twisted your ankle. you never know what could happen while playing.

this is a bit of an extreme example, but it gets the idea across. think of a roofer. he may work for 20 years and never fall off a roof. he now thinks he doesnt have to wear a harness because he "knows what he is doing". then one day he does finally fall. now he cannot work anymore because he broke his knee.

the message im trying to say is, if you are wearing padding, there is less chance of hurting yourself if you DO fall. i plan on getting some better pads soon

Wear whatever you are comfortable with. Don't worry about other people. If someone gives you crap about what you wear, light them up on the field and walk away smiling.

Been playing for over 10 years, I wear a bounce shirt under my jersey and padded pants... Doesn't make me feel like a *****

I suggest not worrying about it and do whatever makes you more comfortable on the field.

This is all that matters. If one of my teammates decides to wear a padded shirt and a thousand layers, I'm fine with it because if that's what he needs to feel protected and thus play aggressively, I'm all for it.

Try telling a 300+ pound football player who's a wuss for wearing pads. Wear whatever is comfortable and keeps you enjoying the sport.

Not in my opinion. I wear a bounce shirt under my jersey and for right now, until I can find another paid of sliding pants, a pair of jeans. I am going to buy a pair of knee and elbow pads. Paintballs kills them.

At first, I wore jeans and a tshirt. Then I got knee pads. Kneeling on rocks without them can kiss my butt. Then I got a bounce shirt cause... Well, bounces. I started to notice less bruises and less pain. Then I got elbow pads. Again, bounces galore AND no forearm welts. Last I got a nice pair of paintball pants. This was a direct result of taking a shot dead on my right nut.

Do I feel like a wuss? No. What I feel is less pain and I get marked less. Win, win in my IMHO.
