I use a 49/45 on my luxe and I love it but most players who hold it want the 68/45 on it. I like the tighter feel since the luxe is a longer marker.
The ergonomics of the luxe is where its at.

What he ****?
Keep the pinokio. It's perfectly able to keep up, lightweight and battery efficient. Don't waste money unless you're just DYING to get a spire or rotor (Z2 hate )
Anywhos, the Luxe's efficiency isn't the best unless you'd like to compromise its main attribute. With that said, look into a 70/45 if you want a slightly shorter tank that can have a lot of air capacity.
With all that said as well, look into getting a sprung and lower volume powercore to help with consistency and efficiency.
I've gotten roughly 6 jams in 3 years on my rotor.
Be sure to just keep everything stock (unless you want a speedfeed) and run it on Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. That's really all there is to it. I've ran through reballs, **** paint and more. Not a huge dealio.

Luxe, Z2 or Spire, and a 68/45 is one of the best set-ups you can have!

if you want to play speedball and you are using a luxe get a 68 or 70. A 48 or 45 wont be enough air unless you play snake and use 1 or 2 pods. I am a short player and i use a 70 dye throttle stubby with my luxe. If you are playing woodsball the 48 or 45 will be fine.

I just got my luxe today. I have it mated to a spire w/ speed feed, 50/4500 ninja... I love it. The spire doesn't miss a beat on it.

I prefer a 68/45. You will want more air especially with a spoolie

I agree with most of what was said in the post I quoted.
However, I'd go with the 68/45. You said your tall. The luxe is a great gun, I owned three and loved them a lot. However, they need the extra air, smooth great gun, but it does use a lot of air. I'd keep the stock core in it unless you are having a lot of FSDO. If you are not, don't change the core, save the money. Darryl will tell you the same thing, he'll even tell you the 1.0 core is great unless you continue to have drop off. I asked these questions when I was speaking to him and was ready to buy a 2.0 core. I've used the pooty core as well, nothing wrong with it but I felt that the 1.0 core tuned was just as good and I didn't have drop off once I changed the dwell.
Unless you have the extra money, keep your current loader. If you do have the money and want a new loader, the Rotor, Spire, and Z2 are all along the same line when it boils down to it so my advice at this point is personal preference.
I'm also one who has never had a jam in my Rotor in 2 years using it, It's also stock. Just make sure you clean it. My theory on loaders is the same on guns, if you don't take care of it, clean it and such, then it'll break down, just like a gun.
As for speedfeeds, the KM Spine and HK Epic are among my favorites.

I got 12 on my luxe with a 68/45
In all all you need is a gun hopper tank doesn't matter if it feed 50000000 balls a second as long as you can hold 12.5 then your good
