exactly which ion is this

i'm trying to get a new body kit for my ion. tired of looking at a plain black gun. i'm new to paintball for about 3 months now but have done alot of reading an such. there are many ion model that look like mine. any links to body kits an such would be helpful...thanks. here's a pic of the gun... |

Yep, classic Ion. Upgraded reg (don't recognize it) and Pro Touch grips.

How do you not recognize a Hyper 2 reg? It is weird that the macroline goes up through the bottom, though, that's not H2 style...

yea it's an dye hyper reg......thinking about maybe finding a donated frame and stripping off the coating an doing a paint job on it.

I never paid attention to regs. The stock one never gave me trouble

If you scour ebay a little you can find some Redz Ion bodies. Ive been thinking about getting on for my backup ion which already has a white SP body on it

That is NOT a Dye Hyper 2 reg. Hyper 2 only has 2 ridges in the middle, not 3, they don't have a port that high on the reg body, the fitting doesn't go in the bottom, and the lower half is not that tapered.

just take a look at ANSgear.com They have some nice aluminum body kits...or if you want to take the time to look for a used one, I'm sure you could find a good deal on one in the B/S/T forums
