Has anyone checked whether the branded evil (SC village in my case) is any different than retail evil? I didn't think about this until I got home, but then I noticed about half of the branded evil fell straight through my 0.685 barrel. I don't have any smaller bore to test, nor do I have retail evil available atm. Brittleness seems on par though, and the fill looks and feels about right.

All paint in general has been getting smaller.
The retail that most companies are charging has just about maxed out.
They are trying to save on cost now by making the shells smaller, but still supplying enough fill to count on a hit.
I have not used anything larger than a .0684 on my gun for the last 4-5 years.
That is shooting every different brand of paint.
It seems like the most cost conscience way to do it.
That's also why you won't see very many guns come with a barrel larger than .0690 anymore.
You used to see a lot of high end guns with .692 stock.
But right after, every pro player would change out their barrel to something smaller.

I too haven't ever shot any bore larger than .684. I shot my .678 all summer, multiple brands, no breaks or problems.

Paint says 0.68 cal, so it's not false advertising or anything. I think it depends on which company and which line is getting smaller, because my friend was shooting valken crusade this weekend through a 0.689 and it was a just right fit. Few rolled through, and possibly attributed to valken being a newer company.

I guess the better question to ask is what is the current bore of retail evil? The bore list must be out-of-date, since it puts it at 0.686-0.689.

HSPs SC evil is Not evil in anyway but the name and manufacturer. however its the best Gio is selling and even tho its a complete rip, its still better than shooting Giant ball. id say its around .686-8ish depending on how longs its been sitting in their storage sheds

I have a box of retail evil, and it falls through my .681 freak insert. Also, the entire box is out of round, so one way it slides right through the .679, and then you turn it a little and it gets stuck pretty hard.
