Hi guys I'm having trouble with my phantom. I love this gun and I think I know what's wrong. I just want a second opinion. Okay here's the problem. Every time I pump it I have to hold the pump forward and put a good amount of pressure on the pump handle to fire. I'm guessing it needs a new sear please correct me if I'm wron.

Try swaping out the Oring on the front of the bolt first. It may be swolen, making it hard for the bolt to move forward far enough to allow the sear to trip.

Also, Post pictures up of the sear so we can see if there is any damage.

If you pump the gun, don't hold the pump forward, and pull the trigger, does the pump seem to nudge backwards a little bit?

Might also want to check the mouth of the barrel (breach end) to see if it has any dings impinging on the bolt oring too.

Give it a good clean up internally and see if that fixes anything, it might just be dirt and stuff.

1) Has this happened recently.
2) Did this happen after reassembly.

I would pump it and do a disassemble to see where the bolt lines up. If the bolt is completely flush then it has to do with sear or trigger. If the sear looks normal, then inspect the trigger. If the bolt isn't flush forward something it interfering with pump mechanism.

On the phantom the bolt tip doesn't even come close to the lip of the barrel. The ball doesn't even sit in the barrel before firing unless it roll into it due to being too small.
