I appreciate your input. And I do agree that most of my pro mixes lack the intensity that other videographers bring to the table. However, I believe that I have experienced "the intensity and struggle" of the pro division. Most of Chicago Aftershock consists of my former team mates, as well 5 Houston Heat players being guys I played with and against while growing up. No, I haven't truly experienced play at the professional level, but I have a good understanding of what it takes to play against the worlds best.
I believe my videos don't do a very good job of showing the emotion and the grind of pro players because of my lack of editing skills. I have yet to truly develop a solid editing style/technique. In my opinion, the only thing separating the videos that go viral, and the videos that are just so so, is the creativity brought to life in post production.
PBFashion/Cassidy is one of the best editors in the business, and his videos showcase that. Anyone would agree that his videos are ten times better than mine, but is he ten times better at filming..? It's honestly his editing and motion graphics that separate him from the scrubby dubby's like me.
