d700.d700.d700.
Now that the 6d is out and all that other jazz it's so funny listening to people talk about how the 5d series AF is this, that or the other thing. glad I switched as I'm more than satisfied with the AF of the d700. Makes me sorta shake my head that in a 2,000 camera they still cripple the AF.
How hard is it to get the 7d AF into a full frame package @ $2,000 (with multiple cross types, 6-9 or so)? if they were to do that I don't think there'd be much complaints at all, at least from me.

I don't have an issue with the 5D2's autofocus. In fact, it will handle sports decently, albeit at a somewhat lesser hit rate than my 1D. My primary attractions to the 5D3 are dual card slots and a higher shutter rate.

Just buy a 5d iii. You have the newest af so you'll be good for sports and full frame etc for everything else.

Shot for the first time in a long time. Used up a roll of Ilford 400, anxious to get it developed to see how my stuff came out.

Shot Girl's Rugby today
Dear god I would never play that sport
In just one 80minute match, 2 concussions, 3 torn knees and 2 messed up ankles.
Oh and it rained. A lot

Shot volleyball yesterday and good God man
I have a new respect for anyone who shoots it regularly. Twelve people in a small *** area with a net blocking half of them and a ball thats all over the place.

I think I'll buy another AB and some wireless triggers (havent decided which ones yet) this week so I can start to strobe games. Have an extra G to play with.

bah, if it was about a stop darker you probably could get away with one strobe. but 2 b800's could kill ambient easily

I want some Eineys something fierce, but I was looking at like $3k for a three light setup with modifiers, portable power, and a cyber commander system. Gonna have to wait a minute on that one.

How do the players respond to strobes going off? Or have you ever had any issues?

The couple of times I did it, I shot into the ceiling with two lights in opposite corners of the gym. There's a dude on POTN that produces some pretty good volleyball stuff by bouncing into the ceiling with a pair of AB800's and a pair of AB1600's off the corners of the bleachers. In my limited experience shooting strobed indoor sports, if you're bouncing, you won't get any flak from the coaches or refs.

Thanks boys. Really wish I could have done better, it was a neat environment to get a few shots of.
