I have replaced the oring with a few of the same size, and even soaked one in 55 to swell it, but my back cap is leaking whenever I shoot causing inconsistent velocities that barely top out at 285. Is there a bigger size oring that is known to work for a problem like this?

And 100% it's from the back cap?

Did you use the oring as stated in the manual?

Replace the rear ram oring while your at it.

How much lube are you putting on the orings?

If your getting excess, then your using way to much...

Double check that you used the correct oring, and that it didn't roll out of the groove when installing the cap.

Might be a long shot but is the metal intact? No knicks or dents?

Maybe the oring is being pinched and causing the air to shoot out the back cap when cycling

Going to count this one as user error. I think I was using the 1x13 oring instead of the 1x15. The super technical smear lube around the back cap to see if air is escaping test leads me to believe my problem is solved. Won't know until I get in front of a chrono. Thanks all for the input.

I've seen g6r's without orings on the back cap that work completely fine

I accidentally pinched the back cap oring and cut it in half when I tightening the back cap screw down. I had no other orings that day so I ran without one. It didnt even leak. theres not much pressure in there at all

a g6r won't reach velocity if the back cap isn't sealed

I've seen it however it was at an indoor field and it was a younger kids and when I took it apart I just grabbed one out of my oring kit to replace it
