Mods will be:
TBE
EWG
1000? CC injectors
Turbo inlet
Walboro fuel pump
drop in pistons
Grimmspeed EBCS
GTX30__R
Intake if needed
FMIC if needed

IMO 30R is a little too small.

I was thinking that too, but I'm torn. I don't really need low end boost. I'd be fine with full boost at 4k-4700.
I have plenty of time to decide though.

You obviously misunderstood. I plugged it into the car, as well as into the wall. Neither powered it up. I also tried into my moms car, after the fact. Still didn't.
I've had OBD scanners run on my car before. I know my port works.
We got the car running but found gas spilling on the passenger side. Turns out the orings on both the injectors over there were ****ed. Ran to town, grabbed the orings, made it back and put it back together.
First smile my car has put on my face in quite a damn while.

I'm in the market for a brand new wrx limited or base sti. Is it bad that this is the first MT car I'm going to own? My only experience with a clutch is from my logitech g27 (gt5 lol). Anyways just lookin for the homey's opinions and ****....
I'm currently driving a 2007 audi a6 3.2L. Was also looking at 08' high mileage is-f's.

Have you ever driven a car with that sort of spool?
It would blow to DD that.

Its not "bad" par say but you don't want to annihilate your clutch either... get a base sti and you'll thank us later.

Truth... this is going to catch me **** I know but... Matt's car takes a while to boost. But GOD DAMN is that thing quick and it holds boost like a BEAST. I like feeling the boost ability in the car which is why I decided to go with the FP green. Slightly higher rpm levels required but maintains something similar to OEM initiation levels.
Not slighting matts car one bit. It love it! But I personally like something a little.more instant but damn that thing made me laugh and smile when he took me for a ride! Maybe if I drove it next time he can change my mind
Noe two things:
1) my transmission is making noise now. The closest example I can give is from 3rd into 4th I get a short (10-12 sec.) noise similar to the sound you got as a kid when you put a playing card inside your.bike tire. It goes away before you shift but its happening more and more I'm thinking syncro... thoughts?
2) new thread title?

Base STi all day man.
Just test drive it a few times. Maybe run around to a few different car dealerships and test drive some other cars to get a feel for it a bit. If you're truly going in a virgin, you might go by a Honda dealership and drive a Civic Si. They're easy as **** to drive.
Am I making sense?

Yep drive a torqueless econobox first, even if it's just for a few minutes. It'll get you acquainted with manual more easily.

I can hardly justify going rotated for a 30R when there are tons of stock location turbos that make more power than the 30R. Nothing against going rotated at all, if you do, you should just go 35R. If you wanna save some money and stay stock location, go with a FP Green or Red, or go for a DOM.

I dunno **** about rotated vs non-rotated but it's notable that there's a BIG difference in 30R vs GTX30R

the only difference in rotating is the ablity to fit a bigger turbho. other wise its a PITA cause there is so much work to do

If you want to make big power, rotated is the way to go.
