New barrel, decisions decisions

So im wanting to pick up a new barrel to match my ego6, its dust silver with blue accents. Is there any accuracy/grouping advantages to buying a used UL/shaft/freak over a CP? Also looking at stiffi's as an option since i love CF.

I currently have a 89 cp so im thinking underbore for the new barrel. A 79 or if i go cp one piece a 85. Just wanting to know if its really gunna be all cosmetic differences or is somthing going to group better then a CP.

No body has an opinion on if a CP .689 shoots any better or worse then a UL .689?

You'll see better consistency with an underbore. I'd go between .678-.692

Whichever one has the longer control bore length is the one you want.

Hm well the stiffi MF series has 5in worth of bore, i think ima go with one of them. I think i prefer the quite light barrel to somthing that would match. Im thinking ima go with a 687, that sound about right or should i go with a differnt bore? I shoot crusade/graffiti regularly, my 89 is clearly overbore so im thinking a notch down will still be over but il save a bit more gas and cut down on noise

Lurker Eigenbarrel .678 and .684 =9.5inches of control bore!!

I own both and I use them depending on paint!!

They are simply perfect in every way!!! Best barrel ever! I use them on my dm10, and if paint is bigger than .688 i use the dye ul that comes with the dm and is .688!!

Wow i just checked em out, thoughs are pretty sick. I think i may have to go with them, 9.5in of control bore is alot but arnt cp 1pc same all the way threw? lol So the lurker 84 is just a cp 1pc thats .001 smaller

Seems to be stiffi MF .681 vs lurker barrel.

I feel like a lurker 84 is really gunna be closer to matching size then underboring but 78 is pretty small for texas weather im thinking. So it looks like the stiffi 81 is a better option even though it dosnt have as much control bore. Anyone agree or disagree?

I own both Lurker barrels too, they're amazing for the price. Longest control bores on the market and lots of porting, super quiet.

I shoot lots of paint through the .678, and the humidity here is crazy.

Except for any single bore barrel, that is.

Well ive come down to my decision. Its lurker 78 or stiffi MF 81

Im leaning towards the stiffi since my local paint is about 83-86 in size depending on time of day. Thats like .006-.008 underbore if i go lurker, isnt that a bit extreme or no?

But a 81 seems like it would match better, light to med squeeze. Its just the lurkers got nearly twice the amount of control bore. What you guys think? Im ordering tomorrow

The lurker 84 would be a bad choice if i believe my paint will be about 83-86 right? That would be really close to matching

Like i said im looking for good best consistency/grouping for across field shots

Lapco Tightstick

Has anyone tried the Lapco tightstick with a .681 bore... just saying...this might be a great compromise for Texas weather... plus it looks much nicer than the Eigenbarrel and is equally priced. Please follow up with a review if you have used this barrel.
