meh. i dont fit any of your guys stereo types. alan could vouch for that. i got the audi just because i got it for a steal, and its a great daily, but i did want something awd and car form. .

I'm not really a fan of car stereo types either, in our local subaru club there are a few guys that are 40+ and one brings his two sons that are like 12 alot.

Is it safer to go with the 5 speed rather than the auto/tiptronic tranny?

I had an automatic 1.8T and a manual 2.8, and I liked the manual 5 speed much better.

I figured that the 5speed would be more fun, I've heard a few stories about the automatic tranny goin on a Audi and it was not too cheap to get fixed lol. I'm just thinking since the ones I'm looking at 100k plus kms whether its a safer bet with the standard.

So if it's a <'04 is the sport suspension really a necessity for slight mods?
Out of the bunch ive seen online in my area, all but 1 or 2 have the sport suspension. For around 8500, so would the extra 1-1.5K be about the price for upgrading the suspension of a non-Sport a4? -noob ha
