RA is certainly better than TS. RA is essentially perfect plus it completely set the standard for all modern RTS's. TS is a good game but the first 2 cnc's are on another level.
SC was more complex and took it up a level but i would not say it is better. now, SC Broodwars is more or less the most balanced RTS i have ever played. CNC: RA and SC Brood are the 2 GOATS IMO.
i cant ignore age of empires either. seriously great game but for different reasons.
edit: CNC 95 and RA also had the 2 best game soundtracks of all time. Hell March bro...Hell March

SC:BW was great. Somehow people kept forgetting to defend their minerals and you could just lurker drop them and it's game over.
lurker drop is the ultimate scumbag steve strategy that everyone did and no one ever defended for some reason. 90% of success in that game is stems from defending your supply lines

I think its less of an EA money grab and more of Bioware not having a ****ing clue as to what they are doing anymore.
