Yes, he seriously screwed up not giving HK, SocialPaintball, EgoBallas, and others credit where it is due in the video, but as long as he isn't selling it, theres no problem with it.

Just make sure you cover your bases before you release something you claim is your own "work." Other than that, I enjoyed it, and you have some talent at least as far as editing is concerned

Stand on the field for 10 hours, getting shot the **** up by every person on the field a dozen times for four days straight before you come in here to tell us all that "it's not a big deal". This **** is NOT easy, and all videographers have the right to call anyone out who rips their footage. It's hard work and we usually don't like to just give it away.

At least ask first... C'mon people.

I'm down to give my footage to someone who wants to edit it, but that means I'm going to give them raw footage.. it takes me a while just to go through my footage to find good clips. I'm not going to hand them only the good footage.. all of the footage this nickHK kid took was already footage that the videographers decided was "good" footage to put in their videos. The footage he took has already been color graded and processed.

here's a quick example of about 45 minutes of my time spent on the field.. maybe 4 clips (a total of 10 seconds or so) actually made it into my final product from this entire 30 minutes of footage.

Just to put this into perspective, my flight out to MAO cost over 600 dollars, and the media pass I wore around my neck cost 1500. If he wants to pitch in for part of that, he can pm me for my paypal address. On the contrary, he did not contact me or any of the videographers who spent their time and money to film these events... there for, there kind of is a "problem with it."

before youtube put song names in the description i would put what the song was and who it was by. know why i did that? because i didnt have permission for a few of the songs, i even put info for the songs i had permission to use because i didnt make any of the songs.

when you write an essay you have to give sources or else you can get in trouble, same goes for footage and music. it shouldnt be seen as "not a big deal" because it is a big ****ing deal to some of us.
