Lotus barrel is the best option?!?!?
So I'm looking into countless barrel reviews and for the most part furious lotus barrels seem to be all the rage? Before I buy one I just wanted to see if anyone thought differently and if so what your opinion on the best barrel for speedball is.
Oh yea btw I'm shooting an ego 09 of that makes a difference
Thanks!

Yeah I was really excited when I found out about the stainless steel inserts. They're great on all accounts but one IMHO. The weight. It's a great deal more than the original inserts. Something to consider before buying them. Another great barrel is the disruptive barrels. They've been my all time favorite so far. GL! You can't go wrong with any of these including the furious barrels.

Weight wouldn't be too much of a problem. My set up is a pretty light as it is. Thanks for the input dudes!

Ive been shooting my Furious barrel for the past 6 months. I cant find a reason to ever switch. Light, durable, accurate. I usually switch between my .689 and .685 backs.

Their website is sub-par to say the least.
Did you already get some?

Because there isn't a holy grail barrel that you are looking for. The best this is just to find a kit with bores you will be using. With the same paint and same bore you will not notice the difference from the Lotus and a Freak, other than sound maybe.

buy 2 lurker barrels, the 684 and 678 for 70$ (for both barrels or 35 each) and never touch another barrel, only 2 bore sizes you really need now days.
all these other barrels compared to lurker ones, your just spending way too much on a barrel, want better results? well buy better paint. I see no difference in other bore sizes to the lurker.. But i do see the 100$ less price tag on most of the new barrels coming out. Down side you get black only, and between gloss and dust. but this is most likely to keep costs down.

Your best bet is to contact J. Morasaki. He is a mod. on here and I believe the owner of the furious company. He has helped me in the past.

I've had quite a few barrels: furious, shift, shaft 2/3, Longbow, Lucky 15, disruptive, CP.
All good barrels but was concerned mostly on sound signature. Out of all of those, Lucky 15 was quietest followed closely by disruptive. Furious was 3rd from my observation.

^^^ This.
Also, to the guy complaining about the weight of a Freak insert: GET TO THE GYM. If you're seriously worried about the .6 of an ounce, you're just nitpicking.

I shoot a furious lotus and switch between .689 and .685 backs (be warned if buying one of these rumor is the bore size is a tad smaller then stated), and love them they are a tad lighter then the Dye UL barrels. Both are equally as accurate and both great options, just a bit costly but its really a one time investment. As stated previously if you choose to go the furious route contact J. Morasaki and he should be able to help you out. If i have time in the next few weeks I'll put a comparison video between the Dye UL and Furious Barrel up and post a link.
