This is because 85% of Democrats have memories longer than fruit flies. Gimme a frekain' break. We have seen what a truly bad economy looks like with the disaster Bush left us with. The economy now ain't great but it isn't utter ****e either. A lot about this question has to do with the direction the country appears to be moving. If Romney were a runaway leader in the polls, many Democrats would be a lot more pessimistic about the economy.
Remember, at the exact same point, the economy could be either tanking or skyrocketing, as long as it is not at the bottom or at the top.
You should return those rose colored glasses and get your money back because we are somewhat more worse of than we were with Bush. Just look at the long term unemployment rates. Not that I think Romney has the answers either but Obama's last four years have been weak at best. His leadership hasn't changed the countries momentum at all. He's only led us to more congressional gridlock. At least Clinton could get his base fired up and was somewhat successful at reaching across the isle and up Monica's skirt lol. The only thing Obama has fired up is the printing presses.
I think you need to go back and look at the bills that were passed under his terms or are you just being ignorant to the largest deficit cuts in history, Brady Bill, FMLA, NAFTA and later, after the GOP won control of congress, he passed the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act or Welfare Reform. How exactly do you think he was able to accomplish this without GOP support in 1996 with a GOP congress? Don't forget the Children's Health Insurance Program later in 1997. He was on a roll until he got caught porking Monica.
The only thing Obama has fired up is the printing presses.
We currently have one of the lowest inflation rates in modern history. But, you know, whatever keeps the narrative rolling, right?
