Helped wash a C-17 today. Now washing my car doesn't seem like such a big deal.

I'm late to the party. I have nothing to add to this discussion today.

Thinking I'm gonna cross training though. Anyone heard good things about aerial gunner?

do you plan to go to school for it or what? Its just as hard for you to get it as it would be for me to get it (Aircraft Electrician). You cant just flip through the books and take the test and have your license. You have to be signed off on each and every task as if you have completed the task before. The only thing my experience allows me to do is to sign off a small portion of the tasks. If you can, Id see if there are any schools around you or any programs offered in your area. Here, the local airport offers a program for us.

Idk if anyone covered this already...but....the aerial gunner career field changed from 1A7 to 1A9...AFSOC decided they were gonna combine the loadmaster and the gunners on the gunships and the engineer and the gunner on the 60s. That's straight for the aircrew tech school in Lackland. I was just there crosstraining into loadmaster.
