Hey guys
Many have expressed desire for a simple no nonsense 5 man woods ball league in the south. I have been talking to several people with the power to make this happen. We would love to make this a reality for the players of the southeast , but want your feedback. We have a simple basic format which we are entertaining but would like your ideas and feedback. We would like to run a TEST event after cup in November to gauge future events and format adjustments. Don’t offer suggestions like 2 dollar paint and entry? Fields hosting events have to cover overhead they would have made not hosting the event so please be constructive in your suggestions and keep them format oriented. Below is a sample format we are entertaining. Let us know what you think and if this is something you would like to see in 2013. We will be posting a date for the test event soon !
Events run in conjunction with the SEPS organization
3 Events in 2013 tentatively early spring , mid summer, fall
5 man teams
center flag
Traditional scoring for kills ,pulls,hang
8-10 min time limit
Limited paint
Limited BPS
Smaller well groomed woods fields
2 classifications a rookie and open

i think this is a great idea. Like you said i would do pretty much same thing that seps is now, just senario style fields. Sounds awesome.

Yeah seps is still gonna do there thing this would just add 3 events to the season and those events will be modified woodsball format

Also they would be independent point wise . they would simply just be run by the seps organization we have grown to love . Thus giving players a chance to play something different then pure xball style fields .

Really like this idea, maybe use the uwl regional series as the base format. I know I would love to get back into the woods a few times.

The Hitmen would be interested in this. I wonder what a camo style suit would look like? Or maybe we just go old school Dave Youngblood and wear actual suits to play in the woods.

Tried to get a answer out you guys but only a few responded with interest . Brent and mark were open to the idea , but we'd like feed back on how many teams would actually participate.

sounds interesting. It would be a great way to get newer players into paintball. I feel like woods ball is less intimidating to newer players then tourney style play due to the slower pass of the game.

I would definitly be down to try one out for funzies. The best way to see who's interested would be to just have one in the middle of next season maybe during one of the longer breaks in-between tournaments. just so everybody good try it out and see how it goes? i dont know just my thoughts on it
