Barrel for Tippmann A-5

Hi, im just started getting back in to paintballing this year so out of date about whats all out there. I had read most of the posts on tippmann barrels and I'm still kinda still confused. I'm looking for a barrel that is probably the most accurate. I did some research and found that aplex barrel was something that I was looking for but not sure if theres anything that could beat it??

If I were you I would buy a JJ Ceramic barrel in either 14 or 16 inches. Then later on getting the APEX2 and Apex adapter for it.

I agree. The stock barrel that comes with the apex is not that great. I have a 10" JJ on mine as well as a lapco big shot 14". Both can accept the apex. Love the lapco more though I have to say

The "bad" thing ive found with it is its loud. I like my loud Markers though. Lets people know im coming =] The bore on mine is i believe .687 which seems to work well with most paints. Shoots nice and straight

Lapco barrels are great! They are great looking and great performing. They shoot themselves clean in the event of a break and the inside of the barrel looks like a mirror! Can't go wrong.

The APEX2 is the same but they slimmed it down to look like a suppressor. Very fancy.

I havent used a Hammerhead, but ive heard more good than bad about it. I think the JJ will perform just fine.

And if you do decide on a JJ, ive got a nice lightly used 16" lying around. Just send me a PM.
