Exclamation Item sent to wrong address.

Deal with Frmrspecialist for an FEP quest went as usual, i pm'd the him to send it to the address i wanted, he couldnt get it out that weekend so im assuming it slipped his mind, because he ended up looking up the address on my paypal and sent it there but i have not lived at that address for several years. Could i get my money back through paypal for this? I can SS the message i sent him saying the correct address and him replying and confirming it. This was just a mistake on his part and im not trying to tarnish his reputation, but.. On the same note, im not trying to just give him my money either. (pictures to be uploaded later as i am on mobile at the moment.)

I'm not sure how this plays out with Paypal's rules, but I can say that the seller is not protected unless he ships to the address that is listed in your paypal account.

no matter how this plays out - You sir, need to update your paypal information to reflect the current accurate information.

Not only will this prevent this error from occurring, it will make people feel more comfortable in dealing with you. It would be a red flag to me if you purchased something then requested I ship it to an alternative address.

Maybe I'm just overly cautious, but having accurate information on a site that is dedicated to handling money, just seems like a good idea.

Good luck with your issue.

My info has been updated, but it defaulted it to my old address, i just forgot to change it for this transaction. And why the hell would it be a red flag? My money is already in the persons paypal, i cant just magicly take it back and scam them.

How long ago did it get shipped? Any chance they could have it stopped and returned? Tell him to contact the post office wherever the package was going.
Was their tracking info that showed it delivered etc? I think opening mail addresses to someone else is a felony, even if it was sent to an old address.

Definitely call paypal right away, their system seems to be VERY VERY reluctant to let go of old addresses and even old accounts. For 2 years my bank account info constantly defaulted back to a bank account I had closed when I moved. I kept sending messages to them and they'd say it was all good but it still happened. Eventually they figured it out.

I have gone in at least 2 times to remove all my old addresses.

but if you were using a hacked account you'd send the money and request the package go somewhere else. It's usually not the case, but would be a flag for me.

why dont you try contacting the people at the address he sent it to and pay them to ship it to you?
