Hello everyone,
I searched through the stickies for this issue but could not find it.

I have a Fusion F8, it worked fantastic this weekend, but i realized halfway through the day that I had blown the button cover (gel cover) off the gun. Luckily, it was stuck to my palm (no loss).
So I placed it just back on and shot the gun. I realized that a puff of air was coming from the within the frame a pushing this gel cover off the buttons on the trigger frame. The cover was only pushed off after every shot.

Is this normal or signs of a failing solenoid?

I had broken down the gun before gameday a lubed it with Dow 33 (shocker) and i use AKA gun oil at the start of every day.

Only upgrades on the gun is an old Boss bolt, cp reg, pexi-panel grips.

I was running 290 (+/- 8) fps at the woods ball field (they have a limit of 300 fps).

if its just a tiny puff of air then it is normal. its just the solenoid venting. if its a constant leak then you may want to think about servicing your solenoid

Trigger Finger, thank you for the quick reply. Yeah its just a small puff when i fire not a constant leak. I'll keep it under 280-285 fps not to risk it anymore.

I just got back into paintball this month after a 4 year sabbatical. So, I was just a little worried.

I'll check for a leak one more time before I buy an eigenram lol. I love this gun more than my Viking or Angels

thanks Yeti, I nice to be back. But after only spending $60 on BF3 and $60 on Premium content for the past year, my wallet is already screaming bloody murder trying to get all my gear back up to speed... 05 Speed, A1, Viking 04, F8. lol oh well thats why we love it

You have some good markers in that list. I wouldn't worry about much as you can only shoot 12.5 anyway.

I've never noticed any puffs of air or anything from the gripframe, def. not normal. I would avoid any after market parts for the F8 like the plague, will ruin you gun.

So would I, I have a ram but not the golden poppit. Heck when I got my ram he wasnt making a poppit.
